Established in 1958, as a small scale R & D Institute, has now become an internationally well known Centre of Excellence both for non-tyre & tyre sectors in our country. At present, IRMRA is under jurisdiction of The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, New Delh

IRMRA imparts training for the officers to make them committed, motivated and encourages overall growth of an officer by inculcating human values and concerns of society and environment through theme- based training programmes.  Our strength is based on the rich experience of our faculty which makes our training programme, research & consultancy work unique, enriching and action-oriented.

IRMRA is acknowledged as an Institute which provides quality training with modern training techniques providing participants a learning environment which allows them opportunities to reach their fullest potential; away from an environment which would produce a mechanical mindset emphasizing only on memory retention of course contents, without appreciating their application and understanding for improving their job performance. To do so, IRMRA strives to use learner-centric and interactive methods like Case Studies, Group Discussions, Brain Storming etc.
